Productive in San Jose

view on San Jose

I chose to come to San Jose ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ท to get back into a working mode again. The non-stop travels, recent relationship breakup and some of the ripples brought my life out of balance and I’m planning to get back on track. Here I want to spend some time focusing on open TODOs and get stuff done. I’m working on clarifying my wants and goals.

So today in the morning I started with a morning walk to the city center and ran some errands before later getting into a working session.

Currently I’m working on some semantic segmentation model to prepare images for later data augmentation for the main task.

I used Photoshop to crop the spare parts (removing all green of the green screen background), then had to do some color transformations to feed the images to a Liner.ai semantic segmentation model.

Here are some impressions from the exploration walk and the evening yoga session. I was lucky to end up in an Airbnb where the host, Dhiana, is actually a yoga teacher ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Just right for the new habits I’m trying to establish (being more connected to my body).

For the coming days my plan is to further establish the routine, to find a place to stay for about a month where I can be productive and to make progress on the projects (see my Now page for details).
